Built by an enthusiast named Jim Vaill - it all started because Vaill and his buddies Jack Fisher and John Clark liked sliding Fisher's TC around the Vaill family gravel pit. Little did they know what a wonder they would create.
Now more than 60 years after the first event in 1957, Lime Rock is still going strong and one of the fastest, fearsome tracks anywhere. Ask anybody who lifted just a bit coming down the hill into the diving turn, they’ll tell you it is not for the faint of heart. Just 1.5 miles around and only 1 left turn, it is a difficult and yet fantastic circuit to drive. The BARCBOYS watched, slept, partied and raced there throughout the 60's and 70's and are still racing it today.
