Beautiful Ferrari 250T Berlinetta long wheelbase of Dean McCarthy. McCarthy was a car dealer in Cortland, NY and had raced SAAB’s and a Corvette. He got the drive in this car from John Bunch. He won.

The Costin Lister Buick of Flyod Aaskove led the Ferrari briefly. Aaskov would fade to third.

End of the 2nd lap and McCarthy makes a move inside the Lister at the hairpin. This was the best passing place at the old circuit and was also the last turn. Great last lap action.

John Henderson’s BOCAR. This kind of kit car special was a beast using a big Chevy motor. Henderson campaigned it well and finished 2nd ahead of the Lister-Buick.

Dave Adams in his custom Lotus with Alfa motor always entered as a LoFa. Adams did well in this home brewed special and was 4th overall and won FM. Adams, as were so many at the Classic, was from the Buffalo area.

BARC hero Sherm Decker walked away with the EP race in his black twin cam. This car is in England at the famous Bob West’s restoration house.

Ted Rounds,another BARC driver/mentor, in the Karl Stickley twin cam. Ted started 8th and finished 8th. “The Legend” as Ted is known, had a great season in the twin cam.

Charlie Rainville gets the checkered flag from Tex Hopkins. This is proof he finished, but not in the top 3. Two Alfas, those of Dave Elder and Barry Budlong were 2nd and 3rd behind Decker

Binghamton’s Don Aylesworth in his TR-3 resplendent with his novice stripes negotiates the last turn out of the Chicane onto the long back straight.

The fastest funeral director, Ward Allen in his Team Forno Alpine. Ward was a fun man and loved his racing. Never terribly fast, he was always well prepared.

Vestal NY’s Jim Forno in his Alpine got the pole, but John Wendt’s Alfa won with Forno 2nd.

Forno’s right hand drive Alpine and Ward Allen’s were red and ran with windshields and bumpers.

Tab Hodge’s Morgan leads the #200 Corvette Grady Davis. Hodge won DP but how Grady, a VP at Gulf Oil, did.

Joe Szacos #59 Corvette leads Alex Chamberlain’s Porsche Carrera. Joe was 3rd in BP and Chamberlain was the winner of CP..

A Vette versus XK battle. Corvette #201 leads Roland Heacox’s #20 XK 120 coupe and eventual 3rd overall finisher Ben Moore in his #18 Corvette.

#201 is holding off E.A.Smith’s #203 Corvette who is steering hard to stay on the track.

Rod Semrad’s CP Porsche Carerra accelerates out of the hairpin last turn.

Ed Meyer’s red Corvette leads good old Homer Dasey’s Corvette. Both competed in every race held at the Glen. And both usually did well.

Jim Forno this time in his Cisitalia leads what appears to be an Alfa coupe.

Bruce Beesley of Syracuse in the #6 A C Bristol.

The blue Stanguellini of Murray Clark won the F Jr race.

Three juniors battle it out. A Stanguellini leads an Elva (we think Dick Bauer) which leads the Tarashi of Dick Cosgrove.
